I wish it were small, but regardless, she'll grow AND I can use it for my other dogs. Unfortunely we don't have time to get one off ebay since the pup will be here Sat. The pet stores and the Walmart's around here don't even carry the smalls. just the medium and large. > Sheila > ________________________________ > From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > On Behalf Of address2000 > Sent: Thursday, November 02, 2006 12:01 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [Chihuahuas] new member > I have a carrier also and didn't like the fact that I could hardly see inside it. So, I got my crates off Ebay. We have 2 carriers here that we use to transport the cats to the vet. Perfect size for the Chi. However I am hard of hearing and I can't see inside the carrier to make sure he is ok. So I am going to look around and see what is available. > You have been a lot of help. Some people, including myself, use carriers as crates. My chis prefer the darkness they can get inside the carriers better. > A kennel, technically, is an outside confined area. But some people refer to their inside x pens ect as kennels. An x-pen is sorta like a baby play pen only it doesn't have the bottom in it. I actually have these baby gate things that can be joined on either side to make as big or small as you want. I have mine divided right now into two separate pens because I have put the cat's litter box in one to keep the dogs out, lol. The cat can get over, the dogs can't. > Here is a link to the type of thing I use as a pen/kennel. But the crate is a much smaller confinement and this smaller area is necessary for housebreaking. > http://www.digitpet.com/product_group.cfm?cid=1001,2006&pid=12000M&gcl > id=COqb-LLcpIgCFRhXQAodx2oxPQ The difference in this and what I use is > that mine is plastic and is screened in x shapes instead of the square shapes like this one. > Marsha > ________________________________ > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG Free Edition. > Version: 7.1.409 / Virus Database: 268.13.21/509 - Release Date: > 10/31/2006 > _________________________________________________________________ Check the weather nationwide with MSN Search: Try it now! http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=weather&FORM=WLMTAG " Lets talk about our wonderful little friends!
