your absolutely right! While you should take time, when you get it, to report
this woman to the authorities, right now, your priority is the pup. You just
keep doing what you have been doing....she has her best chance with you. As for
the breeder, my suggestion would be to call one of several places...local
animal control, local humane society or ASPCA, or if those are not available or
not helpful, then the local prosecuting attorney/county attorney. Don't bother
calling the regular police, they have too many human issues to deal with to
focus on the animal issues.
These animal focused groups should be able to get the ball rolling if there
have been any laws broken. I don't know OK law, so I don't know if any laws
have been broken. It may be that everyone;s hands are tied and there is nothing
that can be done. Even if that is the case, maybe it will at least put people
on notice of her actions for future references.

Ok here is the deal I am commited to this little girl, she is doing
well, she is eating great and playing granted I don't know what
skills she will or will not have but at least she has 2 others to
learn from. As far as giving her to my mother for a gift, I still
plan on doing that. I have 20 days with this puppy before I will see
my mother again. She is a challenge for me but you know what I think
she came to me for a reason and granted by the time I give her to my
mom she may think she is more human then dog due to me a human being
her mom, but I will do my best, I know she is loved and is going to
the best home a dog could ever ask for. She doesn't have the option
of going back to her mother, nor do I know anyone who has a dog that
has just had puppies. So we are in this for the long haul. Do I agree
that this woman needs to be taken out back and beaten with a stick
ABSOLUTELY!!! I don't know the laws in Oklahoma, there is probably
nothing I can do, but if she needed the money so badly that she was
willing to give Gerty up at such a young age, well then by God we are
going to make it work. She is missing a tip of her ear being in this
womans care at least here with me she is warm, getting good food and
love. She isn't going to be bred so I don't care about her papers. I
care that she makes it to 5 weeks old then to 6 and so on. I know
what this woman did was wrong, immoral, unethical and a few other
words that I am sure would be edited out if I used them. I am just
trying to find support for the stutation that I am in. Gerty is top
priority now, I will look into having her shut down, but that is
second to making sure that Gerty gets bigger and stronger. I won't
let this go. I have documentation of how old Gerty was when I got
her, I took her to the vet as soon as I got her. So I have someone to
  back me up.
If anyone out there knows the law in Oklahoma about the release of
puppies please share it with me.
I don't mean to rant or rave but I do understand that she was to
little to come home with me that is hindsight, now the focus is
getting her bigger and stronger and semi dogish.
