Hello, MY chi Abby is allergic to the rabies vaccine. Before they give her the rabies shot they have to give her a shot of Benadryl, we found this out after the first time we gave her shots and all the hair fell out of the spot that they gave her the shot at. I asked the vet about it and he said it is called a black hole and it from a reaction to the shot, the hair will never go back so she has a little bald spot near her back flank. So Benadryl is the answer, it usually cost me another $5.00 when I get her shots. Some vet give it for free if they know your dog has an allergic reaction. Shawnna
