It sounds as if Mimi should be fixed. Local shelters sometimes offer low cost
spaying. Mimi should no be left outside, especially if she is in season. A male
dog could get a hold of her and do great damage. I would watch a space heater,
as she could get burned and it could be a fire hazard of she throws some of her
blankers around. I would get a kitty carrier or a wire crate and keep her
inside where she normally stays. If you are with her, she can wear tine doggie
diapers or a a belt (looks little vinyl panties) that are made for female dogs
in season. Its not Mimi's fault and she should be punished :( -- em :)

Subject: [Chihuahuas] I need help with my chihuahua

Hello im new to this group and I would like to say hello to everyone!
  =)

My chihuahua's name is Mimi ... We are inseperable I spend as much time
with her as possible... She goes everywhere with me... She sleeps
inside my room... When I go to work and come back she seems hurt that I
didnt take her with me... Today me and my mom noticed that ok sorry I
dont know how to say this- my mom said that she was on her ummm
period... My mom wont let her be inside the house because she doesnt
want her to ummm "dirty" the carpet and other stuff in the house...
Mimi is not used to being outside the house for long periods of
time..Shes in a back room with a heater and blankets so thats not a
problem but I dont want her (mimi) to be mad at me because shes not
inside the house... so im lost as to what to do.... If anyone has any
  suggestions PLEASE let me know...
