My daughters Chi had a severe allergic reaction to fleas (fleas acted like a neurotoxin to the dog) and her vet put him on amoxicillin and prednisone. Said to avoid problems with some of the meds for fleas as they can also be neurotoxic, to just bathe her Chi's once a week with Dawn dishsoap and now she has been doing it and not had a problem since, so I started to bathe mine with Dawn. I do not know why or the reasoning behind it but have not had a flea problem so will continue since her dog had gotten so sick. If anyone knows of this or knows how it works I would love to know more. Faithful to Dawn dishsoap now and my dogs are healthy. Karen
