Some states don't even allow the selling of pups until they're 8 weeks. I
can't think of any breed that should go before 8 weeks. I offer my opinion
respectfully.

6 to 8 weeks old is when they should start getting their first shot and
worming. It is a good idea to wait until they are 8 weeks, but if the Vet
gives that baby puppy a good bill of health, then there should be no reason for
you not to take the puppy home at 6 weeks. Good luck with your new puppy!
