I am sorry but I disagree because there is a danger with the smaller breed
of dogs.  Take them too soon and they won't eat and will die or be in poor

6 to 8 weeks old is when they should start getting their first shot and
worming.  It is a good idea to wait until they are 8 weeks, but if the Vet
gives that baby puppy a good bill of health, then there should be no reason
for you not to take the puppy home at 6 weeks.  Good luck with your new
puppy!
