Subject: Re: [Chihuahuas] Growing old

This really brought tears to my eyes.  My Dad wore those soft grey sweatshirts-
mainly because they hid the hair of his beloved Dalmatian  Ramses.  That dog
was his true love, best friend and child.  Those 2 were inseparable.  I
couldn't
understand their relationship until I got Frida.  Dalmatians are one owner dogs
too.  Ramses tolerated  anyone else besides my Dad.  He would sit at the top of
the stairs when my Dad left and wait dedicatedly until he returned.  I would
joke that Ramses ate better in college than I did.  My Dad would buy him his
own
hamburger when they went for lunch.  I ate Ramen Noodles.  When he died a
little
piece of my Dad died. Thanks for sharing this poem.
