My parents divorced when I was only 4, so I never lived with Dad....I personally had dogs all my life...dogs, rabbits, hamsters, birds, fish, I've always been surrounded by animals :-) Daddy use to stop and get me to go get an ice cream or go out to eat or something and he would always act like he just HATED to do it, but would make a face and say something like "you wanna take that old dog and go get an icecream?" lol....Ruffles would jump in the back of the truck and off we would go and ofcourse Daddy always bought him his own icecream too, lol.
Those were such good days! Brings back memories....sighhh, why can't divorced parents get along today? MY daddy stopped and got me anytime he felt like it and mom never worried because she knew daddy would take care of me. Too many kids today get caught in the middle of parent's bitterness....I am so thankful my parents didn't do that to me! I had a very close relationship with both my parents.
