Walked Pecos six miles yesterday with his stablemate Mixer. Planned to go
until Pecos slowed down but he didn't. Weather was breezy and moderate in
upper 70s. I watered both dogs four times and took a 10 minute break going and
15 minute break coming. Mixer is used to four to six mile walks. First time
out for Pecos. Surface is a bike trail, packed limestone, mostly shaded.
Checked his pads on return and found to be unchanged. Pecos is 10 months old
at 5.5 pounds. What should I watch for, e. g., joint damage, etc. Pecos was
gamboling back and forth up until the last mile when I picked him up on a
couple of unshaded segments. He couldn't wait to be set back down. Thanks.
