ofcourse I was just being a smarty pants, lol...but seriously, I don't
know that there realy are any "quidelines" which would explan why you aint
finding many. I would, honestly, just say to do whatever feels confortable
for him and keep an eye out for any signs of distress. As long as he is
having fun and enjoying it, I don't see it could harm him, but if he
starts not enjoying it, it could be a sign that it is too much for him. I
think as he gets older and the puppy enegry wears off some, he probably
would not be able to go that kind of distance. And of course if he ever
developes bad knees or anything, it could agravate the condition. But
untill such time as he becomes an "older, more mature" dog, I would say
just let him enjoy what he can and make sure he doesn't over do it before
he reaslises it....by keeping an eye that he is getting lethargic, tired,
hot, ect......keeping in mind that often dogs will hide their discomfort.
