Hello All:
Normally I do not post events like the following but some in Colorado may have
some time to kill in the next few weeks. For the people who live in and around
the Metro area in Colorado, there are a few upcoming events for your Chi's and
other pets.
On Sat Oct 2, 2010 - Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Broomfield, CO (1700
W.
10th Ave), will hold a blessing of the animals from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Saturday.
All animals welcome to be blessed by a priest. It is requested that dogs be
kept on leashes. In case of inclement weather, the blessing will be conducted
indoors. If you wish to attend, it is requested that you bring pet food (in
original containers) to donate to the Humane Society.The event is open to all
and is not limited to the Episcopal Church. Last years event was allot of
fun,
it was indoors because of snow, we were able to get some pet pictures taken
outside by a professional pet photographer. Last year there were a few pet
vendors and a dog show. I do not know if it will be as big as last year with
all of the events but it was fun for both pets and people.
On Sun Oct 24 2010 - For Denver Metro people - Nikenossecondchances (NCS
Rescue) and Clearwater dog dog training will be holding the Clearwater
DogAnnual Halloween Party(14th Annual). Activities for the day will include Dog
Costume Contest, Professional Pet Photography, Craft & Other Vendors, Silent
Auction, Dog Painting Station, Agility Course, Fun Games for You and Your Dog.
This is the annual fund raiser for NCS rescue - Suggested donations are
Monetary Donations, Collars & Leashes, Towels & Blankets, Toys & Rawhide,
Exercise Pens & Crates. They will have a guest speaker - Celebrity Emcee, W.
Bruce Cameron. This guy is a great speaker. Bruce wrote the book "8 simple
rules for dating my teenage daughter" which later turned into a TV show.
