Hi Shanna, Just my 2 cents here but I would not use a water bottle. I don't think they are very "nice". For whatever reason your sweet Chi does not like this guy and YOU are his momma. He needs to know that his Mama does not like his behaviour. This is not something the boyfriend can fix except maybe to make a bridge of friendship with Ricky. My personal course of action would be to set up situations...with you there of course...where Ricky would act out towards the boyfriend. Then I would correct Ricky every time he even looked sideways at the BF...I most likely would roll him over on his side and hold him while saying "no". when his aggression stopped then I would release him from his side...and do it again and again until his behavior stopped. As for the bridge...I would have the BF hand him pieces of the chicken he loves to eat sitting next to him. But do the correction first. Just my two cents...but what has worked here with Chi-mania LOL!!! Mouse had really issues in the beginning...even as a pup he was extra agressive towards men...he was bonded to me and it was up to me to change his tude...now he is fine! But I do have to say whenever a new "male" enters our house for any reason...I get the look...Mama??? Want me to take him out??? I just give him a "behave yourself glare" and then he welcomes whomever the guy is...but he always checks with me first. I think he is waiting for the day I give him the "go ahead"...how happy he would be to defend his mama against an intruder!!!
