I agree they are like a breed in a breed as they are all so different, That is what makes them so special my girls have a long hair daddy and short hair mommy. They are both short hair in fact Abbey is almost bald on her tummy and on her temples  it is so cute. Also what I noticed is that Abbey hardly if ever sheds, her brother who was also short hair but fawn color and Abbey is Black and tan and he shed quite a bit. So you never know what you are going to get - right now my little girl who is only 5 weeks is a big Roley poly as she is the only puppy. So we will have to wait and see how she turns out. They are all wonderful in my eyes.

Yes, as I explained earlier, in long coats, the coats vary.  In all Chis, the length of the legs, the length of the body, the length of the snout, the length of the ears all vary.  I like to think of the Chi as your surprise dog! When you get a puppy, you have only a vague idea of what he will look like and how much he will weigh at maturity.  If I remember correctly, the other little dog is a mix.

So, now I'm even more curious. Emeliano is a called long haired chi  as well as is this other little sweet thing

Different hair lengths, different body style. Gosh I hope I'm not looking too stupid here, but I am wondering.
