Hi Nancy,
So are you saying that irregardless of what their parents look like, the pups 
can come out different, different hair lengths, etc.  Does this mean that the 
pups are a mix? My rescue organization labels all chis as a "mix". Why is this?

I agree they are like a breed in a breed as they are all so different, That is 
what makes them so special my girls have a long hair daddy and short hair 
mommy. 
They are both short hair in fact Abbey is almost bald on her tummy and on her 
temples  it is so cute. Also what I noticed is that Abbey hardly if ever sheds, 
her brother who was also short hair but fawn color and Abbey is Black and tan 
and he shed quite a bit. So you never know what you are going to get - right 
now 
my little girl who is only 5 weeks is a big Roley poly as she is the only 
puppy. 
So we will have to wait and see how she turns out. They are all wonderful in my 
eyes.
