I don't know what my little Bruiser had about six weeks ago, but she did the
cough/sneeze thing too.  It was terrible for about a week.  I'm a nurse, so
I kept listening to her lungs.  They stayed clear.  So it was definitely a
URI.  But we have a number of other dogs, and none of them got sick.
Bruiser doesn't really go any where so I don't know where she got it.  It
started clearing up after about a week, and took about another week to clear
completely.  She never had a fever, and I don't know if it was kosher or
not, but I made the same cough medicine for her as I did my children.
Honey, lemon juice, and a wee bit of whisky.  It definitely helped.  :)
