We will have to work harder at awareness and encourage training.  

We have a large population of humans in my area.  There are many high rises 
with 
some immigrants who are unfamiliar with dogs & even fear them.  They live cheek 
by jowl with the opposite.  We have dogs a plenty + a bldg nearby that if full 
of handicapped people [who come with many service dogs]. 


I've seen the ones who are afraid, relaxing gradually when they are in an 
elevator with a well behaved dog.  I have a problem with strangers approaching 
a 
dog without permission.  


That reminds me - I have to check the policy on dogs & transit.
