Hello:

In Colorado, the city/county of Denver currently bans pitbulls. Now, they
are reviewing the ban because they do not want to get sued, Pitbulls can be
used as service dogs The current ban would prohibit a pitbull as a
service dog. I will try to include a picture of my Grandson with one of my
Chi's.
He is doing is best to hold back the Chi from attacking the person taking
the picture :-).

I agree with you!! It's sad that dogs get blamed for owners errors... I
think each breed can have dogs with aggression issues... Some more then
others, look at the pitbulls for example(my a pitbull fan) they have been on
that list for years in the right hands are the best dog in the world aside
from chihuahuas. In the wrong hands they are not so great! For both chihuahuas
and pit... Socialzation and training are big key facters. I agree with you
Nancy on the kid part too!

Am I crazy - but chihuahau's are not made to be outdoors in fenced yards
alone. They are subject to many prey animals and they probably act that way
because of fear. Many people do not do the research when they get their
specfic breed and then they blame to breed. It is so easy to keep a chi
inside. The require so little and are not know to tear up your house and do
quite
well. Of course like any living creature no body wants to be alone for 15
or more hours a day and if you do not have the time to spend with them,
then don't get one. They are perfect for the empty nester and travel great and
are so easy to take care of. Also, stay at home moms as my chi's love the
day care kids of course you do have to be careful and make sure that the
kids do not have free access to the dogs. But as long as you watch them
careful they can enjoy the little ones.
