Well, there is no such thing as a wire coat chi. Some (and I have had a couple) that have a shorter firmer texture to its coat. How old is Greta? If she is a long coat they will often blow their puppy coat and may retain a short stiff coat until their longer coat grows in. If she is indeed a "wire coat" with a beard I would wonder if my breeder showed me the wrong parents. Like I said though I have had puppies and adults with soft flowy short coats and some with tougher shorter coats. One that was almost bristely. I would like to see pictures and have her age. That will probably help most.
