I've bred Chihuahuas for show for the past 30 years and have never
seen a "Wire Haired" Chihuahua with a "beard".
Just Long Coats and Smooth Coats. However, the Longs can have quite
varied coats. Just not wire hair as I think of it with a terrier.
Meanwhile, Long Coat Chihuahuas do go through an "Uglies" phase
around 4/5 months old. Maybe this puppy hasn't yet lost the puppy
fuzz from her chin. And that explains the beard. Just
guessing. I'd love to see a photo.

And... there maybe someone on this list that can tell you that
sometimes chi puppies go thru this stage of coat hair!
