Sue - I believe you are correct - we had a turkey vulture at our vet's office 
to be stabilized until it went to the wildlife rescue - I remember the doctor 
stating it's rare for them to eat live pray - and that they are non 
confrontational.  (however, I'm sure everyone feels the same way - if there is 
a 1% chance they might swoop down - then that's 1% is too high) Right?

Do the Turkey Vultures hunt live prey? I thought they only fed off of dead 
animals? We have a lot of them here in FL as well as Osprey and eagles.  I 
don't let our little ones out without going out with them even though we have a 
fenced yard.

Around here there are turkey vultures that will pick up a small dog in a 
heartbeat. We don't leave ours out alone even tho we have a fenced back
