Thank you Susanne.  I was just thinking that might get pretty messy and
didn't know if you had to do special cleaning after every bowel movement.

I do keep the fur directly under his anal area trimmed( an sanitary trim)
because it can get messy but only if he has loose stools which is not often.
I believe someone else on the list referred to it as a "poop chute" trim!

I think that except for pictures on this group, I have never really seen a
long-hair Chihuahua.  I know that I have seen Emiliano's photos, but never
one from behind.  OK.Here it goes.Do you ever have to clean the fur on his
backside after he goes poopy?  I know that when I watch Dolly & Desi it
usually falls a tiny bit away from their butts, but he has a lot of fur on
the rear end.

The long feathers down the back of Emiliano's legs is what I pay special
attention to when I brush.
