We have three dogs and a bird so unless we travel in our Rv, we get a housesitter. Your Vet is a good place to get reliable candidates. I would never board my dogs but they do fine with someone living here with them in their same routine and comfort zone.

I have started to check out the airline regulations and it might be impossible to travel with 3 dogs on the plane. I don't think they allow more than one dog to a carrier and only a limited number per flight. Also what have any of you done if you have to board your dogs? I can't even bear the thought of leaving them, but with most of my family living in NH, and 2 kids in CA, I know it will have to happen at some time. I couldn't bear to think of them in a kennel and I don't have family close by to house sit. Do any of you have any experience with traveling with or leaving your dogs in the care of someone? Thanks!
