I have never flown with my dogs, but like many people, there is no way they
would go into cargo. Why not look into Pilots n Paws? They fly rescue dogs
all the time in private planes and the dogs all go first class. I have heard
that if they already have something scheduled for a certain place and have
room, they will also take your dogs privately, and then you meet them at the
airport and pick them up. They travel all over the states. You can Google it

You may also want to Google for your dogs traveling by air. I remember
reading some where the pros and con's of tranquilizing a dog for flight, and
it also explained about when to and when not to feed and water them, and why
and a bunch of other info. Sorry can't remember the name of the site, but
it was written by a Vet.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Traveling with and without chi's

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if any of you have ever flown with your Chi's. I have
started to check out the airline regulations and it might be impossible to
travel with 3 dogs on the plane. I don't think they allow more than one dog
to a carrier and only a limited number per flight.

Also what have any of you done if you have to board your dogs? I can't even
bear the thought of leaving them, but with most of my family living in NH,
and 2 kids in CA, I know it will have to happen at some time. I couldn't
bear to think of them in a kennel and I don't have family close by to house
sit.

Do any of you have any experience with traveling with or leaving your dogs
in the care of someone?

Thanks! Cindy
