I agree 100%!!!! With 8 dogs and 8 cats and a parrot, I do not travel a lot.
But my SUV is a perfect set up for me to take a couple of dogs with me for
short trips. I don’t take them when it is hot unless they can go in where ever
I am going. Nor do they go when it is very cold. I have them travel in their
crates for their safety and mine. I also park where I can see the car (because
of thieves) and don’t stay away for long.

I fly with my two chihuahuas...they both fit into one carrier. I have
never been asked how many dogs are in the carrier. No one ever has
checked. :O)

I would NEVER fly my dogs in cargo!!
