The plastic hollow toys, Desi can demolish into a million pieces within 10
minutes.

The small latex squeker toys, Dolly used to love them before I had Desi. I
think she still probably liked them after that, but her choice of toys
gradually changed. I had seen her many time taking a toy in her mouth and then
taking it over to Desi so that he could grab the other end. I think she was
either teaching him what to do, or she decided that tug-of-war was a fun game
now that she had another little pup to play with. I had bought her this fish
toy in Walmart when she was small. It had a big plastic ball inside that had
screws that had to be opened to replace the batteries. When the toy was
dropped…and it could happen with Dolly having it in her mouth and dropping the
five inches to the floor…it would wriggle around and kind of bounce up and
down. I rotate the toys, so after Desi was here, I found it. I had to take it
next door and have Tony unscrew the place for the battery, because it was too
tight for me to do it. I brought it back home and Dolly was so excited. I
went to take my shower and when I came back to the living room, Dolly was
trying to get Desi to play with it – I just watched for a while in such awe as
she tried and tried to get him to grab on to the head or the fins of the fish.
She was so patient, and Desi was just not getting it. I have since put it out
for them to play with, and she really doesn’t care too much for it anymore and
Desi still doesn’t understand what to do with it. If it isn’t sleeping in the
recliner or one of the stuffed toys that have had every limb, ear, and tail
amputated, they really just want to be sleeping next to each other – and that
is a huge thing for me to see. Nothing is sweeter than them just laying there
together. Dolly has him cleaning her face about every two hours in the last
few days…she has him whipped, but he does it without her squawking at him the
way that she used to.

My Cooper will fetch any plush toy, or the cat's soft ball, but doesn't like
anything plastic or rubber. Neither does my female Dali! Weird!!

Does anyone here have their chi fetch frizbees? Just checking to see if one
of those little soft packable frizbees might go slow enough for our Chihuahuas.
Right now Ceci is fetching a small cat bell ball.

Hi Carolyn,

I send my email through my email account. I am sure that sending from the
Yahoo page is probably about the same.

I have the option of Attaching a file, or Inserting a picture. If I want the
picture to show in the message, that is when I choose to insert a picture. I
don’t just attach a picture file often, but normally when sends me an email
with an attached picture, it shows up as an attachment and then I can click on
the little box that says attachment and the whole picture shows. Then back to
clicking on the box that says Message and then the text shows.

Do you send your emails directly from the Yahoo website, or do you use Outlook.

Let me know and I can go to my Yahoo Account and then be able to tell you the
best and easiest way to do it. BTW, I lived in Escondido for 37 years before
moving to North Las Vegas a little less than four years ago.

I'm Carolyn and I live in rural Lakeside, California, in San Diego County.

I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your older dog.

I'm owned and trained by 3 wonderful pals; a 12 yo 26 pound
Staffie/Corgie/Doxie mix named Joe; a 6 pound rescued black and tan chi; a 3.8
pound foster angel chi named Emma Rose. Her story is so incredible. I won't
take up the space here, but try to check the archives.

BTW, having this little treasure is like getting a Christmas present. I opened
the wrapping and absolutely loved what's in the box, but I can't play with the
"toy" inside for another Whole Stupid Week................... She's in her
third cast and has been restricted to complete cage rest 24/7 since Friday,
Jan.13th. I'm trying to stick to this pretty ridigly because I want her leg to
heal right. It will be worth it in the end. Yeah I know - patience is a virtue,
but I wanna play with my new toy now! LOL.

I tried attaching a picture of Emma Rose, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it
right. Joan, maybe you can help me.

Welcome to you and your little one. You'll love this site.

Carolyn, Joe, Koby and Emma Rose

Hi All! I'm new at the list and am curious where you all live and what you do
and all that sort of thing.

I live in Central Oregon where today it is snowing a very wet, warm snow.
Slush all over the place. I much prefer colder snows. Deep enough to bury my
wee Ceci today if I let her outside, which doesn't happen here unless someone
is with her. We have hawks and eagles and coyotes, and the occasional cougar,
so she is never outside without a keeper.

Sometimes I really wish for a warm winter home somewhere in the south states,
but it isn't financially possible. I am still working long past retirement.
Type appraisals for a guy that lives and works in Sacramento, CA.

Have really loved all the pictures of your babies! We have just one dog now.
Usually have a large outdoor dog to keep coyotes, etc away, but none now. Our
last guy died last summer of old age... Hard to see them go.

Well, how's about finding out about you guys...
