I'm Carolyn and I live in rural Lakeside, California, in San Diego County.
I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your older dog.
I'm owned and trained by 3 wonderful pals;  a 12 yo 26 pound
Staffie/Corgie/Doxie mix named Joe; a 6 pound rescued black and tan chi; a 3.8
pound foster angel chi named Emma Rose. Her story is so incredible. I won't
take up the space here, but try to check the archives.
BTW, having this little treasure is like getting a Christmas present. I opened
the wrapping and absolutely loved what's in the box, but I can't play with the
"toy" inside for another Whole Stupid Week...................  She's in her
third cast and has been restricted to complete cage rest 24/7 since Friday,
Jan.13th.  I'm trying to stick to this pretty ridigly because I want her leg to
heal right. It will be worth it in the end. Yeah I know - patience is a virtue,
but I wanna play with my new toy now! LOL.
I tried attaching a picture of Emma Rose, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it
right. Joan, maybe you can help me.
Welcome to you and your little one. You'll love this site.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Getting acquainted

Hi All!   I'm new at the list and am curious where you all live and what you do
and all that sort of thing.

I live in Central Oregon where today it is snowing a very wet, warm snow.
Slush all over the place.  I much prefer colder snows.  Deep enough to bury my
wee Ceci today if I let her outside, which doesn't happen here unless someone
is with her.  We have hawks and eagles and coyotes, and the occasional cougar,
so she is never outside without a keeper.

Sometimes I really wish for a warm winter home somewhere in the south states,
but it isn't financially possible.  I am still working long past retirement.
Type appraisals for a guy that lives and works in Sacramento, CA.

Have really loved all the pictures of your babies!  We have just one dog now.
Usually have a large outdoor dog to keep coyotes, etc away, but none now.  Our
last guy died last summer of old age...  Hard to see them go.

Well, how's about finding out about you guys...
