Desi was a little growler if I touched him to move him a tiny bit in the bed
if he was poking into me or something. The first couple of times, I rolled
him on his back and held him with slight pressure until her relaxed and
telling him that 'you do not growl at me!' Later I found it to be that when
he was sleeping the growl was probably something like I'm tired, leave me
alone. He doesn't always do it, but it is more when he is in a little
deeper sleep than just falling asleep. He doesn't do it too much any more.
It could have something to do with his dream at the time. Dolly, once in a
while if she is sleeping in my arms, I will bend my head down to give her a
kiss, and she kind of turns her head and snaps at me. I look at her and ask
her what that is about and she then just turns and gives me a kiss. I think
that both of these actions with mine - that are both things that Charlotte
is doing, have something to do with their dream that they are having at the
time. I haven't had Desi do the growling in a while, and it seems Dolly
does it more when she is sick than not. If you are able to correct
Charlotte by turning her on her back and then just holding until she has
relaxed - and be telling her not to growl at you, then just try to make a
mental note of when it happens. It could be dream related as I think that
is what is the Reason for Dolly & Desi doing that occasionally.

Hi Everyone,
I'm noticing some behavior in Charlotte (3 mos chi), that I have never
experienced and do not like. My other 2 dogs are sweet, well behaved,
loving, even tempered loves. I've worked with them & they are such wonderful
dogs-well trained & very respectable. (altho they've trained me well too)
LOL
I've noticed when I lean over to kiss Charlotte when she's sleeping she
snaps @ my face. The first time she did this I was shocked! Did it again and
couldn't believe it-my feelings were hurt. Then I went to move her & she
growled. I gave her a 'no' command each time but she doesn't even react to
the command. I tapped her nose once & said 'no', but she just curled up &
when back to sleep. I will not accept this behavior so I make a point of
'bothering' her sometimes when she's sleeping so we can work on this.
Anybody have any other ideas?
Lynda
