Just my 2-cents, but NOT everyone believes in Caesar Milan. As a matter of fact, a LARGE portion of the rescue community has very definitely come down on the "anti-whisperer" side of the fence. Even the Monks that first got press for all that "alpha roll" nonsense have realized their error. Dogs DO need structure, and they DO learn from routine and repitition, but it would be a cold day in hell before I'd give one of MY dogs to him for training or even use his methods.... for real. As far as food aggression, if you have dogs inclined to that, then you are setting them up for failure if you continue to feed them together. Why not avoid that and separate them?? With four, there is always maneuvering for top spot with me..which is fine. but if anyone growls or gets cranky, they are removed immediately from my lap and lose their attention privileges. Kids have been mauled over food they've dropped and a food aggressive dogs wants. Also I truly see zero reason for not training. Even for your on personal liability. Also a trained dog is freer and happier. I believe every dog is trainable. My good friend trains last chance aggressive dogs. Sometimes they stop by on the way to the vets to put the dog down they Are so hopeless. He has a 100% success rate! The dogs respond every time! It is possible! C. Milan is very good btw. You can train them not to bite, if they are untrainable then I wouldn't have them in my home, but I've never seen an animal that didn't respond to training. The animal trainer on TV is fantastic. Gosh it's late & I forgot his name, but he's Mexican and tells you how to be the ALPHA. I love that guy & his ways with animals. Pam
