Thanks Sheryl, that's very reassuring. We haven't met them yet (they're still
being evaluated by the shelter staff) so we're trying to keep our emotions in
check, but they sound like a wonderful old couple. :) I hope we're a good match
for them.
We normally heat our home to 62 degrees in the winter. This year we upped it to
64 because *we're* getting too old to keep it so low. :) Kitchen & bathroom
floors are ceramic tile, so that's also been a concern. We're thinking we'll
put some nonskid area rugs around to make it more comfortable for the dogs.
Funny how we couldn't do that for our comfort but we'll do it for theirs. ;-)
Thank you for mentioning food. I scoured the internet and Royal Canin seems to
be the top choice for small dogs...? They even have breed-specific food. But as
far as I can tell, it's all kibble - no canned (for small dogs, that is). What
do you recommend if they need a soft food?
thanks again
Jan
