Barry...
It is WRONG to prejudge.
You are labeling everyone who does not spay/neuter their dog as an animal
abuser???? How is that animal abuse, letting her chi go the way God made
her. Perhaps to some good dog owners, spaying or neutering a dog is abuse
if there is nothing medically wrong with the little dog.
Yes...both of mine are spayed/neutered. I knew that I didn't want to breed
them; and I had to give up things to get them spayed/neutered. With only
Dolly, I got her spayed...I had no intention of breeding her, and it was
because where I live all dogs/cats must be spayed/neutered by the time that
they are 3 months old. The vet wouldn't do it then because she was too
tiny, and so she was 5 1/2 months when she was spayed. Desi was neutered at
3 months even though he was small because he had a potentially serious
problem with his testicle. I would have had him neutered anyway, but it was
MY choice as the owner to get them spayed/neutered.
Someone that posts that their dog is in heat, is not a sign of being an
animal abuser. And, if someone was an animal abuser, do you think that they
would post anything on an open forum.
IMHO, if you have a companion dog that has no access to getting out, and the
owner is responsible, then it is their choice.
I know that there are a lot of animals in the shelters. I know that there
are a lot of Chis in the shelters. I know that some who rescue take the
'underdogs' and they have suffered abuse and have the signs
