I do repair work on all kinds of electronic instrumentation and data logging
equipment you find on drilling rigs, Martin Decker / Totco MudWatch or Drillwatch
systems / Swaco / Datalog logging instruments and sensors), then I do have some
food industry clients to satisfy. As well I have developed some instruments and
sensors (Mud Level, Return Flow), on my own. This is possible here because
of the very high import tax and shipping cost of everything you need around here.
I do things you wouldn�t ever thing about doing in the US or Europe, here I can do
it. Companies don�t care to much about UL, VDE and other goverment stuff, I remember
you had some problem with zener diodes or so, the first and nearly only thing they look
for, is, how to get the money in their pocket instead in the pocket of others. Thats by the
way part of the nature of south american people.
As you may know, Bolivia is got very big reserves of natural gas, the biggest of all
latin america, there is little petrol, heavy crude nearly doesn�t exist over here. The petrol which
comes out of the ground needs very little treatment to serve as car fuel,
production of heavier stuff like diesel is so low that they need it to import from Argentina,
because there is very little, but gas there is huge amount, the plan is to export gas to the
US and Mexico, the battle is where to charge it on ships, in Chile or Peru.
