AFAIK, BWD scopes aren't clones of anyone. A quick web search failed to show a Tektronix scope with a 540 designation, except TDS-540, which is a modern digital storage scope, not an "old" scope. There is a picture at http://minyos.its.rmit.edu.au/~rmmca/testgear.html which shows a BWD540, and the text indicates it is a 100MHz dual channel storage scope - presumably it's analogue storage.
Sadly, the BWD company went out of business in the 80's, but some of their business was acquired by McVan Instruments, who may or may not be able to assist you with spare parts. Their web site is http://users.bigpond.net.au/mcvan/ Joe. > -----Original Message----- > From: Brody Radford [SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Saturday, December 14, 2002 12:24 PM > To: Multiple recipients of list CHIPDIR-L > Subject: re: Scope fixing > > Well as far as I know it is an Australian clone (of perhaps a Tektronix > but > I'm not sure).
