Also in Firefox one can search bookmarks and filtering as one types in characters. Please add this to Chrome; This and the lack of tool bar support is what keeps me from using Chrome full time.
Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of ted.dushane.pers Sent: Friday, January 23, 2009 1:43 PM To: Chromium-discuss Subject: [chromium-discuss] re:inadequate bookmark display In either FireFox or IE, you can display bookmarks in a column to the left of the browser pane. This is a very useful functionality, since it does not require a separate window be open for bookmarks. A workaround that achieves this in Chrome is to establish one dummy directory at the highest level of Bookmarks, set the bookmarks bar to display, and then put *all* the bookmarks and bookmark directories in that one folder. Then when you mouse on that one folder, you get the same organized list of bookmarks. Thanks for the consideration. Ted Dushane _____ avast! Antivirus <http://www.avast.com> : Outbound message clean.
