I agree, I think the idea of tab scrolling is not so good because then the
user would only be able to see a certain number of tabs listed on the bar at
the same time. While that would make the tab titles readable, I agree with
alex, I'd forget that I had those other tabs open. Like they say, "Out of
sight, out of mind."

p.s. still figuring out the e-mail thing...alex, are you getting this
message twice?
