That brings up an interesting solution to this problem... Why change the
basic function of the browser? Instead create a version of the Tab Mix Plus
extension for Chrome (once extensions are supported).
I suggest this since I'm sure many users don't even consider this a problem
since they don't keep 20+ tabs open at the same time. I might remind you,
the original problem was with not being able to read the titles of tabs when
you have too many open. I just tried it and I could still see the icons for
each tab with about 35 tabs open. I really doubt the average number of tabs
open for an average user is over 35. Since this is likely only affects a
small percentage of users, it seems more appropriate for it to be solved
with an extension.
