Thank you for your answer! Compiling my own chromium would be nice, but I just uninstalled all that stuff (except eclipse ;-) and I have my reasons to let others do that fraught work. I'd really like to be just a "normal" user, who is lazy and wants to be served by the software.
Using snapshots from the BuildBot, which are near to the releases would be a compromise. So where to get the numbers of the builds? For example Dev. build for 3.0.187.1 at this time. Obviously the brand new snapshots seem to be a little bit more stable then before. But there are still some crashes in all versions since several weeks. I Don't know, if this has been improved in the "stable" updates? Sometimes it is important to have a good recourse to stable versions. For example when Issue 11717 was spoiling the usage of chromium for two or three days. The issue regarding to this breakdown was ignored for too long and I guess, that the testers are not taken enough serious at all. By the way, did you know, that in Germany a lot of people are really concerned about the drawdown of privacy? For example gmail isn't ignored because of the problems with the domain, but because of the disrespect of personal liberty. Chromium needs to inspire more confidence! To improve trust the chromium-developers could make it more easy to use or test chromium without any obligation ;-) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Chromium Discussion mailing list: [email protected] View archives, change email options, or unsubscribe: http://groups.google.com/group/chromium-discuss -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
