I was very pleased to have recently received copies of material from the funeral of Winston Churchill, as well as commemorative material from about that time. They are: the Ceremonial to be Observed, and the Order of Service at/for the Funeral of The Right Honourable Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill; as well as the 63 page, mainly photo, book, "Winston Churchill: Man of Destiny" by Stafford Northcote. My wife's good friend had worked for the late R. Gordon Robertson in Ottawa until his death last year at age 95. Mr. Robertson had been the Clerk of the Privy Council (the country's top civil servant) at the time of WSC's death, and would (I presume) have attended the funeral as a representative of the Government of Canada. Mr. Robertson's daughter gifted the material to my wife's friend, who kindly passed them on to me. Lovely to have these pieces of history on hand, passed down and along from someone who I believe was there in person.
