Indeed this explains the behavior that I see. With "mount -F smbfs" I cannot edit the file while with browse from Nautilus I can perfectly edit them. I do believe as well it exist a problem (with the mount) in the backup file that is created automatically by the editors (gedit, swriter etc). With vi the problem does not exist. If I may ask.... is this integration planned and when approximately will happen? Is there a bug ID so I can be informed for the progress? Thank you once again.
