nice to hear that!
we could do some work to put some #defines (inside conditionals #ifdefs) to 
substitute the opengl api if the ati driver is being used.

but _why_ ati do not conform w/ opengl 2 specs?!?!?

anyone tested opengl cinelerra output w/ the  intel driver[1] and mesa 3d 
opengl[2] implementation?

From the Mesa 6.5.2 Release Notes:
"OpenGL 2.0 and 2.1 support is nearly done. We need to do quite a bit more 
testing of the shading language functions."
