Joel, Great to hear from you! It is still early in the dev cycle for Lumiera, but I think we all recognize that the current GUI needs some love. Besides the IRC there have been some discussions on the GUI framework here on the mailing list. It seems that Richard Spindler has been involved an many of them. Maybe do a search on his name in the ML archive or just "GUI" or "user interface".
