Does inkscape has an API, that makes it possible to reuse parts of its
functionality on other apps?
Inkscape right now is pretty non-modular. :( Improving the modularity
of the program is pretty far along in the roadmap (right now slated for
about 8 or so releases down the road), but it's definitely in the cards.
