Really nice tutorial, :-) And it brings me to another task that I have been thinking about for quite a while, namely how the "perfect" Encoding Tool should look like. I figure that any serious Video Editor should be able generate a decent amount of different Video Formats. Digging through mencoder and ffmpeg documentation can be rather dull though, so in an ideal World, there should be a User Interface that allows even an uneducated user to make the right decision by giving him a sensible selection of options and all the necessary hints. Anyone interested in trying to make some mockups for a cool encoding tool? No coding skills required ;-) Just a drawing program/board and a bit of imagination and understanding of different Video Formats :-D What do you think?
