For the Ardour export dialog, I proposed such profiles. Listed with speaking
names, followed by important parameters. Details are only revealed if you 
want them.

Plus a system where you can set requirements like "works with app x" 
or "works with device y", is losless or not ...
Given options are narrowed down accordingly.

BTW, it will be implemendted as a Finnish Summer of Code project, 
starting in June by Sakari Berger :)
