The conventional terminology | for it is a "proxy". Easy proxy editing has been on the wishlist for quite | some time, since HD video with formats like HDV is too slow without it.
He is not referring to proxies (as I understand it), but rather for working with clips as discrete, untrimable units, the way the "Thumbnail" view in iMovie works. I discussed this in irc channel and posted a section to the GUIBrainstorm page in the wiki. | | |> I say conventionalize it. make it standard practice for cinelarra to make |> thumbnails out of your clips for you, using your preferred thumbnail codec, |> -open source. | | Proxies will certainly be integrated into Lumiera. For Cinelerra, we'll | see. I certainly want it. But I want it to be good, convenient and easy. | -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.8 (Darwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkg0EyIACgkQSyj78chr9d9ZOgCdHDIMAmuJT60NtaxUjV+DQTnb awwAoNNB6reJRslx2/o2GOp2j6u4fJN8 =mdUq -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list [email protected] https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
