I think that the "controller interface" on X events or input devices is
needed, it could be very usefull to handle certain keyboard's issues I
found in moving masks (I write from an apple keyboard not well supported
on X) without having to learn and use xev and xmodamap to solve an
X problem.

I'm trying today to solve the problem changing the source code of cin,
if lumiera will have that controller interface you speak about I hope it
will be able to change and control every keyboard shortcut.

Nice idea,
midi could be useful for live video also, cin has a live video
effect that I've never used, but in that case you can use only one video
track could be great to handle live video with midi.
