I think that the "controller interface" on X events or input devices is needed, it could be very usefull to handle certain keyboard's issues I found in moving masks (I write from an apple keyboard not well supported on X) without having to learn and use xev and xmodamap to solve an X problem. I'm trying today to solve the problem changing the source code of cin, if lumiera will have that controller interface you speak about I hope it will be able to change and control every keyboard shortcut. > Binding to MIDI is important, because most control surfaces support > that, often besides a proprietary control.
