I have a bunch of video files that I put into Cinelerra and all
seems well with them . When I started capturing video from my camcorder
the first few I captured as Avi files. These will only save in resources
window as video. I installed ffmpg with winff and converted them to
mpeg files they are in my home folder but Cinelerra cannot see them when
I use load files. I had planned to just recapture them in mpeg but
thought this might be a good time to understand and solve this problem.
Do I need to change them to another file type to install them in
resourses? I can go beck and recapture but I won't have learned anything.
Video files are really confusing. Seems like just when I think I
understand I find out there is another that is the same thing but
somehow different.
Another question is that I have files in folders inside My Home
directory should Cinelerra be able to open these folders and then open
the files? Do I have to take them out of the folders and spread them out
in the home folder? Some have 30 or so pictures I want to use in Cinelerra.
Thanks for any help ,
Doug
