The provided instructions did not work for me. I used parts for other
Cinelerrra compilation instructions. At this point I do not understand the
details of the build process.

The --enable-mmx got openGL to stop erring .

My Alsa coment stems from a bug report
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/579300 .

Libasound2-dev was found in configure, but an excerpt of the list;

Enabled bsfs:
dump_extradata mov2textsub noise
h264_mp4toannexb mp3_header_compress remove_extradata
imx_dump_header mp3_header_decompress text2movsub
mjpega_dump_header

Enabled indevs:
dv1394 v4l v4l2
oss

Enabled outdevs:
oss

Creating config.mak and config.h...
config.h is unchanged
--------------------------------------------------

does not show alsa enabled.

If I use aoss cinelerra to run Cinelerra, the programs runs and renders
audio, but the Cinelerra playback is jerky.

I do need a understanding of the build process to enable ALSA.

Now that I can compile, I can try to put the original commands back.
