That's what I meant re: the eventual solution. For the OP's benefit, I wasn't trying to stress that the configuration remains persistent after hardware state is changed, but that there is always a record of it regardless of what the current situation with the hardware is. > Looks like IOS-XR still has a long way to go to become as > usable as JUNOS in "configuration" matters. I'm more concerned about bits of RPL, and a few things with general feel of the CLI. But otherwise, I'm quite pleased with it when compared against IOS/IOS XE. Mark.
