What will AKC elect to do in the future regarding this business and others

Amen!
I think there are lots of choices the AKC could make that would instantly put
all the puppymillers, and even backyard breeders out of the AKC
registry....But might have tremendous negative impact on responsible breeders
too.
I have notice that a good deal of legislation suggest, that is aimed at
reducing the pet overpopulation problem by targeting such breeders, really
hurt the responsible breeders the most. NOT what we want.
I would love the AKC to come up with instant solution that would not hurt
those who are responsible breeders. I am not sure the solutions are so
simple.
I would love to hear a discussion of what policies you would love to see in
place to help responsible breeder, discourage back yard breeder from breeding
(or encourage them to become more responsible) and eliminate puppies mills.
